On Thursday, July 2, 2020, Associates, Medical Staff, and Physicians of Doylestown Health enjoyed a free lunch thanks to the generosity of MeatWagon BBQ in Hatfield, which set up a food truck at Doylestown Hospital for the afternoon.
Free lunch was offered to Associates from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (with appropriate social distancing measures observed in the midst of pandemic protocol) with music provided by Keith Garner and Joey De Noble (Keith and Joey Music), who returned to the campus for their fourth live concert.
Nick and Adrienne Andersch own MeatWagon BBQ in Hatfield, and operate the food truck that serves Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. Nick was born at Doylestown Hospital, and Adrienne is a healthcare worker at another hospital nearby, so she knew firsthand how meaningful community support can be. “This was our way of saying ‘Thank you’ to all the healthcare workers.” says Adrienne. More than 800 Associates enjoyed lunch on July 2 thanks to their generosity.
Ashfield of Fort Washington provided beverages for the occasion, and Frankford Candy teamed up with their chocolate supplier, Blommer Chocolate Company, to provide packets of specially made mini chocolate flags to employees. Frankford and Blommer together donated more than 1,000 packs of chocolates.
