What is your role at Doylestown Health?
Director of Risk Services and HIPAA Privacy Officer
What’s one thing that people would be surprised to learn about you?
For years, I was in a band, played bass and was the lead singer, and took 7 years of vocal training.
What’s your favorite space in the Hospital?
The Risk Office, where I work with Terri, Kathy and Kristen. They are my second family.
Why do you donate your time to the One Vision Campaign for Doylestown Health?
Just about everything that’s good in my life has either happened in this hospital or within about 3 miles of it. I met my wife in Doylestown; my kids were born here; I raised my family here; and I am now working at my dream job here. This hospital is has given me a wonderfully challenging career. It is filled with compassionate experts who have a single focus on patient safety. Donating my time and resources to this Campaign was an easy choice.
What is a word or phrase that comes to mind when you think about Doylestown Health?
“Sweet Care”. It’s a phrase used by a wife of an elderly patient who I recently met and helped her find where she was going. As we talked, she told me that we always gave her husband (who is quite ill) very good clinical care, but even more importantly, gave him “sweet care”. It was such a touching phrase, and actually a very poignant moment!
