With One Vision, we have expanded and relocated the Clark Center for Breast Imaging, formerly known as the Women’s Diagnostic Center, at Doylestown Hospital, allowing us to serve more patients with lifesaving services, therapies, and technologies. Breast cancer is the leading form of cancer deaths in women, and the most common form of cancer both nationally and around the globe.1 Targeted investment in imaging technology and expanded facilities is critical to the early detection and treatment of breast cancer while also providing patients with enhanced amenities in a soothing spa-like environment.
With advanced screening options, the Clark Center for Breast Imaging at Doylestown Hospital, named in recognition of a signature gift from Angela and Dick Clark and their family, offers state-of-the-art medical imaging technology for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of breast disease, in an award-winning hospital at the heart of the Doylestown community.
Philanthropic support of Clark Breast Imaging will have an immediate and direct impact on the delivery of cancer care in our community by supporting the expansion of programs and facilities critical to the early detection and treatment of breast disease.
The 5,000 square feet of new space nearly doubles the size of the former Women’s Diagnostic Center which operated in a second-floor suite at the hospital for 25 years. Nationally accredited and designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence (BICOE) by the American College of Radiology (ACR), the new Clark Center for Breast Imaging will be able to serve 2,500 additional patients each year—a 15 percent increase in volume from the 17,000 served annually by the former Women’s Diagnostic Center.
