Circle of Life: Giving Full Circle embodies the mission of our programs and honors our patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare partners whose lives are intimately connected. Circle of Life sponsorship contributions and donations directly support Doylestown Health’s Cancer Institute and Doylestown Health Hospice programs.

The 2018 Circle of Life: Giving Full Circle Auction & Gala, held on November 9th at the Doylestown Country Club, was made possible with the valuable support of over 60 sponsors and numerous donors. Over $190,000 was raised for Doylestown Health’s Cancer Institute and Doylestown Health Hospice. “We are so grateful for the generosity of the sponsors, donors, and friends who support Circle of Life,” said Jim Brexler, president and CEO of Doylestown Health. “Every gift matters to our cancer and hospice patients and their families, and our 17th year has been our most successful to date.”
Doylestown Health Foundation is grateful to all those involved in this year’s event, especially the Circle of Life Committee and Co-Chairs Kathy Hazen and Sue Stellar. The all-volunteer committee dedicated hours of time and assistance in planning and executing the event. We would also like to thank auctioneer Mike Ivankovich, emcee Sheri Putnam, and the Central Bucks Key Club for their role in making the event a success.
Special Mission Appeal – Cancer Institute’s Bridge Fund
If you were unable to attend the Circle of Life event, we invite you to make a gift to the Cancer Institute’s Bridge Fund.
Help “bridge the gap” by supporting this year’s special appeal. At a time when patients and families are most vulnerable, such as facing a cancer diagnosis, the tasks and challenges of daily living can be disproportionately stressful. Because of the Bridge Fund, Doylestown Health’s Cancer Institute can provide additional support services to help patients address these challenges. The funds go directly toward paying for things such as rent and utilities, transportation, companion support, and counseling services. By reducing the financial burden many families experience when faced with cancer, the Bridge Fund allows patients and their caregivers to focus their energy on what really matters – healing and quality of life.
Highlighting the evening were the personal testimonials of two breast cancer survivors, Fernanda Fresco and Jaclyn Smith. They shared their experience with the Doylestown Health Cancer Institute and the positive impact the Bridge Fund had on them and their loved ones. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of donors at the event, the Special Mission Appeal generated over $27,000 for the Bridge Fund.
