On Wednesday, April 14, 2021, Doylestown Health celebrated the latest milestone of its $100 million comprehensive campaign, ONE VISION: The Campaign for Doylestown Health, with a ribbon-cutting and dedication of the Clark Center for Critical Care Medicine for generous donors recognized with naming opportunities on the third floor.
The Clark Center for Critical Care Medicine is the overarching program name that encompasses all critical care services at Doylestown Hospital, including the new 32-bed Putman Intensive Care/Intermediate Unit (ICU/IMU) located on the third floor of the Cardiovascular and Critical Care Pavilion. Designed with state-of-the-art equipment for managing critically ill patients, Clark Critical Care provides specialized care to patients with serious, immediate healthcare needs. The opening of Clark Critical Care enhances Doylestown Health’s successful intensivist program, led by pulmonologist Les Szekely, MD, FCCP, DABSM, who is the medical director of the Clark Center for Critical Care Medicine, Respiratory Care at Doylestown Health, and the Doylestown Health Sleep Center.
The brief dedication ceremony was held to recognize the generous investment made by Angela and Dick Clark, visionary supporters and chairs of ONE VISION: The Campaign for Doylestown Health. Jim Brexler, President and CEO of Doylestown Health, welcomed guests alongside Joan Parlee, Chair of the Boards of both Doylestown Hospital and Doylestown Health Foundation, 2016-2022; John Mitchell, Vice President, Cardiovascular and Surgical Services; and Dr. Szekely.
Doylestown Health is grateful to the generous support of Angela and Dick Clark, Paula and Kevin Putman, Sr., and the many community members who made this vision of an expanded and state-of-the-art critical care facility a reality.
