With One Vision, we have established the Richard and Angela Clark Center for Critical Care Medicine at Doylestown Hospital, deepening our commitment to our most critically acute patients
In keeping with Doylestown Health’s patient-first philosophy and unwavering dedication to patient safety, the Clark Center for Critical Care Medicine allows us to provide the next level of specialized and intensive care to critically acute patients in a soothing environment designed with patients and caregivers in mind.
Within the third floor of the Cardiovascular and Critical Care Pavilion, Doylestown Health is enhancing its successful Intensivist Program, a model in which board-certified physicians (intensivists), who specialize in the care of critically ill patients, are available in the ICU around the clock, seven days a week. In frequent collaboration and consultation with medical-surgical colleagues across disciplines, the intensivist designs a personalized and coordinated care plan for every patient. Together with the highly-skilled care teams in the ICU, the intensivist personally oversees daily multidisciplinary rounding that engages the patient (when possible) and their family members in the care plan. Patients in the IMU receive a high level of care to allow for close monitoring and provision of comprehensive care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
As a nationally recognized leader in patient safety, Doylestown Hospital’s commitment to this innovative model has already demonstrated improved outcomes for our most vulnerable patients.
“We are grateful to Richard and Angela Clark for sharing our vision of providing a state-of-the-art environment in which we can deliver the highest levels of intensive care and attention with the loving touch that benefits patients and their families.” ~ Les A. Szekely MD, FCCP, DABSM – Medical Director
