MESSAGES OF HOPE FOR DOYLESTOWN

On Monday, April 13, Doylestown Health invited the community to join together from a distance in sending prayers, thoughts of goodwill, and messages of hope to our healthcare heroes working on the front lines to battle COVID-19. Our community answered with heartfelt messages and photos, demonstrating in an inspiring way that we are truly One Community.

Bringing an Idea into Reality

“Message of Hope for Doylestown” started as an idea from Sheri Rutenberg of Ruth Hendrixson Ministries. Inspired by similar displays of solidarity for healthcare heroes around the country, Rutenberg suggested a gathering in the parking lot of Doylestown Hospital for people to offer prayer and songs for the healthcare workers inside. But in light of social distancing measures in place, Doylestown Health’s Director of Pastoral Care Maggie Ainslie suggested a virtual event instead.

Doylestown Health Foundation invited the community to join in on social media and through email by sending messages of hope and prayers addressed to the healthcare heroes of Doylestown Hospital. The response was tremendous.
