On Friday, September 9, 2022, Doylestown Health celebrated the latest milestone of its $100 million comprehensive campaign, ONE VISION: The Campaign for Doylestown Health, with a ribbon-cutting and dedication of the Morel Family Foundation Center for Prenatal Care in a new suite on the ground floor of Doylestown Hospital, capable of serving more patients than ever before in response to rising demand for services in the region.
Now open to patients, the relocation and complete build-out of Morel Prenatal Care allows for an additional exam room, three ultrasound rooms, two non-stress test rooms, and one observation room. The new Morel Prenatal Care also offers a separate blood draw area and lactation support room, offices, conference rooms, staff lounge, and added storage; features that did not exist in the original space. Services include diagnostic testing during all trimesters, specialized ultrasounds, evaluation services to determine the health of the mother and child prior to birth, and aid for high-risk pregnancies. Adjacent to the center is the Beck Family Classroom, offering ample space for educational workshops and classes.
The dedication ceremony was held to recognize the generous investment made by the Morel Family. Jim Brexler, President and CEO of Doylestown Health, welcomed guests alongside Marianne Chabot, Chair of the Boards of both Doylestown Hospital and Doylestown Health Foundation. Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, Sen. Steven J. Santarsiero, Rep. Shelby Labs, and Noni West, Mayor of Doylestown, attended. Each local official spoke imparting a personal touch to the ceremony. Vail Garvin, PhD, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce was also present.
