Seven months ago, a tornado caused by Hurricane Isaias ripped the roof off of Children’s Village on the Doylestown Hospital campus. While none of the children were hurt, some are still struggling with the trauma from that day. Gianluca Ferraguti remembers losing his teddy bear that day while evacuating, and then finding it on his family’s car the next day.
To help him deal with his anxiety about the tornado, a woman in Arkansas sent a story to Gianluca in a letter. Now being published as “Teddy Bear Come Home,” the story has helped to keep Gianluca calm and deal with his anxiety around bad weather. Part of the proceeds from the story will be donated to the rebuilding of Children’s Village, a new priority of ONE VISION: The Campaign for Doylestown Health. Doylestown Health is grateful for its generous community and committed to its safety and wellbeing.
