Doylestown Health broke ground on a new wing to accommodate a major expansion of its Richard A. Reif Heart Institute on Friday, almost 45 years to the day from the groundbreaking of the hospital’s State Street campus.
The health system also on Friday announced the largest monetary gift in its history, a $5 million commitment by Alex and Patricia Gorsky, of Buckingham Township, honorary chairs of the campaign. Patricia Gorsky also is a Doylestown Hospital board member and was a nurse in the hospital’s cardiac catheterization lab. Alex Gorsky is CEO of pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson.
