Happy New Year!
2022 is the final approach to our centennial year and the culmination of ONE VISION: The Campaign for Doylestown Health. At the start of this comprehensive campaign, we were aiming for $75 million—an unprecedented goal in the history of Doylestown Health, but one we boldly set our sights on for the opportunities it would allow for our health system: opportunities to connect the incredible generosity of the community with the critical needs and priorities identified in our transformational vision for the future.
Thanks to the extraordinary response from the community these last six years—even in the midst of a challenging pandemic—we met that initial goal and raised it to $100 million. The fortitude and resilience of both our Associates and our community cannot be overstated.
As the countdown begins to the Doylestown Health Centennial, we are very excited to provide regular updates on the progress of the campaign and the many ways we are connecting generous gifts to the people, programs, and patients they impact directly.
Already this year we are celebrating another milestone of the One Vision Campaign with the completion of the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Center at Doylestown Hospital. Fueled by generous donations, Cardiac Rehab provides convenient access to our team of expert therapists and the latest technologies in a state-of-the-art environment with proximity to the services and physicians of the cardiac and pulmonary care programs.

In keeping with our constant pursuit of excellence and our patient-first philosophy, and thanks to a $10,000 grant from Walmart, we have created the Patient Safety and Quality Fund to support the priority needs of our patient safety and quality program. This includes investments in education, equipment, conferences and training, and quality initiatives surrounding the safety of our patients and our dedicated caregivers. Through this fund, we are able to focus on the continuous enhancement of safety for our patients, visitors, and Associates. Doylestown Hospital has consistently been recognized by the Leapfrog Group with an “A” grade in patient safety for five years running, and we are thrilled to have philanthropic support to help us advance even more patient safety and quality initiatives.
Contributions to the campaign have allowed for the creation of two new staff respite rooms, including the purchase of massage chairs, to offer a quiet, restorative space to our Associates and Medical Staff who are giving their all on a daily basis. In addition, an unrestricted gift from the Argus Fund in December has been designated by health system leadership to the creation of an Associate Wellness Fund, to be used for initiatives that promote respite and wellness for Associates across our organization.

We have said it before, and it bears repeating: Every Gift Matters! Whether it’s a million dollars towards a new building, delivery of lunch to a busy unit, or a small tribute gift with a note of thanks for a job well done…every gift has the power to inspire gratitude, hope, and strength. Like the Jules Thin Crust food truck that arrived at Doylestown Hospital on Christmas Day to provide free lunch to those working on the holiday, many moments stand out among the highlights of a campaign filled with stories of unprecedented kindness.
