DOYLESTOWN, PA — Debbie Minford Daily recently presented proceeds from the 11th annual “Double D Dance” to Doylestown Health’s Cancer Institute. While the event could not be held in person this year, the Minford Foundation hosted an online action to continue their support of the cancer program.
Their generous support will allow Doylestown Health’s Cancer Institute to offer advanced Neoprobe technology during breast cancer surgeries, locating lymph node tissue more precisely and efficiently. Doylestown Health is committed to providing the best treatment options for Breast Oncology.
“The Neoprobe technology will improve cancer care by providing a more precise localizing system to identify lymph nodes requiring removal during cancer surgery,” said Donna Angotti, MD, FACS, Medical Director, Breast Cancer Program, Doylestown Health’s Cancer Institute. “While increasing accuracy, it also decreases post-operative pain and potential complications for our patients and is gratefully appreciated.”
In the 11 years since the Double D Dance was first organized by breast cancer survivor Debbie Minford Dailey, the Minford Foundation has gifted $225,000 to the Cancer Institute. Doylestown Health is appreciative of the extraordinary support of the community and its commitment to giving back.
