DOYLESTOWN, PA – November 20, 2019
Doylestown Health’s Cancer Institute received a record donation of $4,575 from the Central Bucks East and West High Schools girls’ soccer teams, which they raised at their annual “Kick for Pink” event.
The Kick for Pink game was held on September 26, 2019, at War Memorial Field in Doylestown. The two teams coordinated fundraising activities with support from local businesses and the community.
Proceeds from food sales, raffles and T-shirts benefit Doylestown Health’s Cancer Institute, supporting services and programs related to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and support of cancer patients at Doylestown Health.
Members of the girls’ soccer teams recently came to the Cancer Institute to present the check to Jim Brexler, president and CEO of Doylestown Health, and Rachel Saks, director of the Cancer Institute.
“We are so pleased to once again be the recipient of proceeds from the annual CB East and West Kick for Pink event,” said Saks. “We especially appreciate these student athletes who, in six years, have raised more than $22,500 for Doylestown Health’s Cancer Institute.”
