The call for Giving Tuesday went out, and associates responded. They’re supporting the One Vision Campaign and the future of Doylestown Health.
“We are so grateful to all of our campaign donors. The positive energy and significant participation among our Associates, Medical Staff, and Volunteers in Giving Tuesday 2018 is reflective of the culture we have all grown accustomed to here at Doylestown Health,” said Laura Wortman, Vice President and Chief Development Officer. “To live where you work is not unique to Doylestown, but to give where you work and love what you do certainly is. I am thrilled to share that nearly 200 people made contributions collectively donating over $35,000! For this, we can all be Doylestown proud!”
Started in 2012, Giving Tuesday is an international day of philanthropy. Many Associates, Volunteers and members of the Doylestown Health Medical Staff were excited to participate in this global day of giving and pledged their support to the One Vision Campaign. As a way to say “thank you”, donors of $25 or more were entered into a drawing for a chance to win a covered parking spot in the hospital garage for one year or a three-month membership to the YMCA of Bucks County. The drawing was held on Friday, November 30 and the two lucky associates were chosen!
You can visit the Giving Tuesday page and make your gift or pledge of support any time.
“I look at the Associates Giving Campaign as not only a way to give back to an organization that is very special to me and my family, but even more importantly, help provide services and care to better serve our community,” said Associate Campaign co-chair Steve Day. “These gifts allow us to accelerate the pace at which we innovate and continue as one of the few independent healthcare systems in the country. I’m so proud of what the VIA started nearly 100 years ago; associate donations are one small way we can honor and continue that legacy.”
