MAKING A DIFFERENCE EVERY DAY
With over 115 teen volunteers throughout the hospital, the Penn Medicine Doylestown Health Teen Volunteer Program offers young people a meaningful introduction to service, compassion, and healthcare. Students can apply to the program at 14 years old and begin volunteering at 15 years old.
Teen volunteers can gain hands-on experience while giving back to their community in various departments, including Patient Transport, MRI, Same Day Surgery Atrium Desk, PACU, Children’s Village, Hanson Café, Pharmacy, and Physical Therapy.
TEEN VOLUNTEER SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
With their presence bringing energy, kindness, and an extra level of care to our hospital every day, our scholarship program recognizes the dedication and hard work of the most committed teen volunteers. Since the program’s inception, Penn Medicine Doylestown Health has proudly awarded over $643,000 to support the educational goals of the volunteers.
These scholarships are made possible through the generosity of our community. Many of these scholarships are established in honor or memory of loved ones, creating a legacy of service and compassion. We are especially grateful to the VIA, the Doylestown Health Golf Committee, Administration, and the Volunteer Knitting Group for their support and for honoring the legacies of past and present leaders at Doylestown Hospital.
