Laura K. Wortman
Vice President &
Chief Advancement Officer,
Doylestown Health
It has been three years since the public launch of ONE VISION: The Campaign for Doylestown Health, the most ambitious fundraising campaign in our history. With the unprecedented goal of reaching $75 million by 2023—coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the founding of the first Doylestown Hospital—the campaign is a testament to the incredible power of philanthropy and our unwavering commitment to provide exceptional, award-winning care. Our resolve remains strong, rooted in the strength of our community’s support, empowered by the leadership of the Village Improvement Association of Doylestown and our Boards of Trustees, and inspired by the dedication of our clinical care teams who provide health, healing, and hope to patients and their families each and every day.
Thanks to the steadfast support of thousands of donors—many donating for the first time—and inspired by the overwhelming and continued generosity of our community, we set our sights even higher this year and increased our campaign goal to $100 million.
One Vision is comprehensive by design, so gifts of all types and sizes are essential. We are investing boldly, both to anticipate the future and answer the current needs of our community. Philanthropic support of One Vision fosters our independence and allows Doylestown Health to invest in facility expansions and renovations, technology, top medical talent, innovative treatments, and expanded programs and services across our health system.
I am so proud of Doylestown Health and grateful for this community that has invested in the One Vision campaign. On behalf of Jim Brexler, President and CEO of Doylestown Health, and our Boards of Trustees under the leadership of Joan Parlee, thank you for sharing our vision. We are pleased to celebrate the collective impact of your generosity, the significance of what we have achieved together, and our exciting plans for the future. There are still many opportunities to pledge your support for campaign initiatives that will make a lasting impact on advancing healthcare excellence in our community. Join us now and witness firsthand the power of your support.
Jim Brexler, FACHE
President & Chief Executive Officer,
Doylestown Health
On behalf of our entire Doylestown Health family, we thank you for your support. Every gift is essential. Doylestown Health Foundation relies on your generosity to support patient care excellence and improve quality of life for the patients and families we serve. Your investment will help us realize our ambitious vision for the future, and ensure that Doylestown Health remains a place where science and technology meet grace and humanity.
Anyone familiar with Doylestown Health knows it for the outstanding and exceptional institution that it is. We’ve been in hospitals throughout the world, and can guarantee you that there is no better facility than Doylestown Health. We are truly fortunate to have access to award-winning physicians, nationally recognized programs, and the latest technology and procedures right here in our community. It is incumbent on us to do everything we can to protect this vital asset and to ensure the lifesaving, compassionate care that we have come to rely on will remain for generations to come.
Our family is rooted in Doylestown, and we believe the hospital that has treated and cared for us for four generations is worthy of investment. Standing at the helm of this historic campaign, we are grateful for all the partnerships that have made our progress possible. Though we cannot declare victory just yet, together, with your help, we will secure an enduring legacy of care with our vision—One Vision—to transform the future of Doylestown Health.
— Richard Clark, Retired Chairman and CEO, Merck & Co., and Angela Clark, Community Volunteer
In our relationship with Doylestown Health, we have witnessed exciting changes and advancements. As donors and ambassadors for the organization, we are in the unique position of inviting you to learn about the extraordinary care delivered by the clinical teams who choose to work at Doylestown Health, and the state-of-the-art facilities that offer an exceptional patient experience.
We have witnessed firsthand what makes Doylestown Health special—Pat as a nurse here in her early career and now as a trustee of Doylestown Health Foundation, and both of us as members of the campaign committee. What this health system has accomplished in just a few years is astounding. Through it all, what has remained constant is an unshakeable commitment to excellence and a heartfelt compassion demonstrated by every caregiver without exception. Because of this, Doylestown Health stands out among our nation’s community hospitals—in many cases achieving higher rankings than many well-known academic medical centers, both regionally and across the country.
It is our honor to help lead the One Vision Campaign, and our duty to do everything we can to advance healthcare excellence in this remarkable community. In so doing, we are securing a better future not only for those who live and work here, but for the greater community as Doylestown Health expands its reach as a destination regional medical center. With One Vision, our collective impact will be truly profound. Thank you for joining us.
— Alex Gorsky, Executive Chairman, Johnson & Johnson, and Pat Gorsky, Trustee, Doylestown Health Foundation

With a generous gift from the Morel Family, Prenatal Care will be relocated and expanded as the Morel Family Foundation Center for Prenatal Care.
Renovations to the main entrance area and first floor of Doylestown Hospital will include a conference suite and learning center to accommodate educational programs and events, and support a newly established residency program.
